Jenn Daley, DNS of Issaquah Nursing & Rehabilitation Center accepted the 2018 NADONA Antibiotic Stewardship Best Practice National Program Award.

Issaquah was recognized as the best of the best in improving Antibiotic Stewardship efforts in America’s Long-Term Care and Post-Acute Care healthcare facilities.

The team at Issaquah Nursing and Rehabilitation Center received the Best Practice Stewardship National Program Award for its success reducing UTIs by 64 percent from 2015 to 2017. Antibiotic prescriptions also dropped significantly during that same time.

 According to NADONA’s Executive Director Sherrie Dornberger, ”NADONA is so pleased with the caliber of facilities who have applied for these awards. I think the committee did an outstanding job with selecting both a facility and a leader who are both doing an excellent job with Antibiotic Stewardship in the facilities!!”.
